Golden Weekend

Garstang Rugby Club recorded their first ever hat-trick clean sweep this weekend as all three teams recorded handsome victories.  Three wins have been recorded previously this season but the golden achievement wasn’t achieved entirely on the pitch as one of the results was due to a walkover.  However, this weekend all three teams put in great performances and not only won but they won in style.  

The 1^st XV recorded a 20-0 on the road at old Bedians – to win any game away in North Lancs One is not easy but to win to nil and with such a big score is a superb achievement.

The Blues hammered Fleetwood 3rds by 55-0 at home in the early kick off on the day – a nil score and a big tally was just what the team needed as they enter the crucial period of the season in the title run-in.

The Lions could have been victims of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s Show’ but they were excellent and they put in a rampant display by beating Bolton 4ths 46-10.  Bobby J and his team have been teased for letting the club down and conceding points on the day but who cares when you score forty six points!
