2010 Social Events
The club is arranging the following events for your delectation delight over the coming months. Please put them in your Diary and make every effort to attend or Bobby Johnston will be round yours in the middle of the night with a hat stand:
The Old Viagrans Magical Mystery tour - 20th March
This event is now SOLD OUT but if your approaching 35 then please let Bobby Johnston know as Greeny is getting a bit sick of fagging.
Players Dinner - Saturday 24th April 1930hrs at Guys Eating establishment.
This will be straight after the Blues final game of the season and hopefully we will be able to celebrate the Blues as champions with much ale, mirth, along with the end of season awards. Oh and rumour has it that Greeny is getting his tractor out.
Cost is £20.00 payable before hand or on the night and dress code is club number ones and drinking shoes.
Please contact Roddy Bettany on 07549801015 for this once in a season event
Golf day - July
This event is not yet finalised but rumour has it that it will be an all day piss up. Roddy will be organising this one once Joe Taylor and John Robbie have got hitched ( is this the clubs first civil partnership????) and as soon as we have further details they will be posted on here.
Club pre-season tour - August
Max Everest is organising a pre-season tour down to the fleshpots of Nottingham and he needs virgins...... tour virgins that is, to experience the delights of GRUFC on tour. More details to follow.
Sportsmans Dinner - Saturday 18th September 1930hrs at Wyrebank, Garstang.
Due to the high volume of nuptuals etc over the summer the Sportsmans Dinner has been moved to September so as nobody has an excuse not to attend.
This is the clubs major fundraiser of the year so if anyone knows anybody who wishes to sponsor the event, take a table or donate a raffle prize please contact Bobby Johnston or Richard Ayers.
Details of speakers etc will be annouced closer to the time.
Christmas Ball - Saturday 11th December 1930hrs at Wyrebank, Garstang.
More details of this event to follow closer to the time but mark it in your diary and make sure the missus doesnt arrange a works do or anything to clash.
