Miller Homes Preview 06/03/10

Garstang Blues are at home tomorrow in a home double header with the Lions also playing after them.  The Blues kick off the action when they play Fleetwood 3rds, K.O. 14:00.  This will be a tough game as the two teams have traditionally had tough encounters which don’t generally seem to be affected by league positions.  The last two games have seen Fleetwood pick up excellent wins against Carnforth and Thornton Cleveleys while the Blues got a workmanlike performance over Hoppers 5ths last week.

The Blues will be hoping that Carnforth 2nds can do them a favour and somehow upset the formbook when they take on Penrith 3rds at home.  Penrith had also been due to play at Fylde on Tuesday evening but it doesn’t look like that game took place.

Tarleton 2nds have been in good form in recent weeks and they will be looking to capitalise on any slip ups from the top two, tomorrow they are at home to Furness 2nds.

The Lions play Bolton 4ths straight after the Blues game with a 3:30 pm kick off.  A couple of good wins and walkovers which have been awarded means that the Lions have climbed the table in recent weeks and currently sit in fifth place.  Rumours that Bobby Johnston has been suffering from nosebleeds are unconfirmed!
